Bioelecmed.org is a professional collaboration website run by Bioelectronic Medicine (BioelecMed), the peer-reviewed, biomedical research publication of THE FEINSTEIN INSTITUTE PRESS of the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research (FIMR). FIMR is the biomedical research arm of the North Shore-LIJ Health System in New York.

Welcome to Bioelectronic Medicine’s professional network: bioelecmed.org. This network is a place where biomedical research-scientists, physician-scientists, and clinicians can:

• Find and share resources,
• Meet others interested in sharing ideas related to disease pathogenesis and translational medicine,
• Read and learn more about the latest articles from the journal, Bioelectronic Medicine,
• Share experiences and learn from the experiences of others.

 
Getting Started!

• The BioelecMed professional network thrives on member participation.
• Stay involved, collaborate with colleagues, find new colleagues, post comments, add files and pictures, access articles and other resources.
• Invite your colleagues to join the network, the more the merrier! (Please note that BioelecMed does not accept any anonymous participants.)
• Post only information that you are comfortable with others seeing—and knowing—about you.
• These guidelines are designed to help make participation for everyone a positive experience.

 
Netiquette
How you talk to others in the BioelecMed network is not that different from the way you would talk to others in real life. There are some things you should be mindful of in an online environment:

• Posting in all caps is the same as SHOUTING.
• Don't use offensive language, be rude, use hate speech, or harass or spam other members.
• No selling, solicitation, advertisement, or promotion of products or services is permitted on the Network. This is a place to engage with other members in a positive way, not sell your stuff.
• Don't upload copyrighted or illegal materials that don’t belong to you.
• Don't upload a picture that you wouldn't show your children—that means no pictures of nudity, or sexual content, violence, weapons, etc.
• If there is an issue you’d like to report, flag the content or action, or notify us via the Notice of Takedown link at the footer of our Web pages. Please note that while BioelecMed has no obligation to delete content that you find personally objectionable or offensive, we will try to address any problems that may arise.

 
When there is a violation of our guidelines, we may do one or all of the following:

1. Provide a warning to the offender
2. Delete some or all of the content
3. Temporarily or permanently terminate the offending member’s account (we don’t want to, so don’t make us)
